Dr. Jalihal has a doctorate from the University of Leeds, UK, under the Commonwealth Fellowship Programme. He completed his post-graduate Degree in Transport Planning at the prestigious School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. With over 33 years of experience in Traffic and Transport, he has worked for both public and private sector organisations in top-level positions.

Dr. Jalihal worked with CRRI as a senior scientist & researcher and later with Reliance Industries as a Senior Vice President, where he led the planning, design and implementation of the transportation plan for the Navi Mumbai SEZ. Dr. Jalihal has published over 20 research papers in national and international journals and played a key role in landmark projects including the Mumbai Area Traffic Control System and the Mumbai Coastal Road.

He has been at FPPMC for ten years and leads the traffic and transport division with dedication and enthusiasm. In his spare time, Dr. Jalihal enjoys travelling and playing chess.
