Delhi Aerotropolis Masterplan
New Delhi, India
Aerotropolis is the ambitious aspiration to turn over 250 acres within the overall site boundary of Delhi International Airport into a major commercial hub for the city.

Frischmann Prabhu India drew up a comprehensive masterplan for the site, which would provide hospitality facilities, convention facilities, commercial facilities, leisure facilities, and more, supported with world class infrastructure and maintenance and service facilities.

To do this, the site was divided into ten land parcels distributed along the east-west spine running between the terminals to the west and the National Highway 8 to the east. A phased development approach to both the parcels of land and the dedicated infrastructure was established because of the size of the overall project, and a high specification was placed on the first phase so as to set the quality and technical benchmark for all ten parcels.
