Development of Krishnapatnam Port

In the year 1997 GoAP and KPCL entered into the agreement for development of Krishnapatnam Port on BOST basis. In 2004 both parties signed revised concession agreement which was in line with other agreements of GoAP.

Phase I development of port was commissioned in July 08, comprising four berths and other common facilities. Phase II development comprises construction of seven berths - four for import of coal, two for general cargo, and one for container vessels.

The plan involved deepening of the channel and turning circle for handling cap size vessels, and the scheme as a whole covers a land parcel of 2100 Ha.

Frischmann Prabhu are appointed to provide the services of Lenders' Independent Engineer to the lenders.
