Development of Multipurpose Cargo Berth No.13
at Kandla Port

Kandla Port consists of total 12 constructed jetties and is one of the fastest growing major ports in India. In order to meet the growing demands, the Port Trust has sought to develop four new berths through private participation.

Berth no. 13 was won by a consortium led by M/s. Alpha Vinimay Pvt. Ltd. India, and run through a special purpose vehicle named RAS Infraport for the project implementation.

Frischmann Prabhu India, appointed by RAS Infraport Ltd, has worked on design to allow for multipurpose cargo - excluding liquid and containers. The quay width is 55m and the project includes the development of backup area of around 21.70 ha to be developed along with the open storage, covered storage godowns with an area of around 25,000 Sqm., internal four lane road of around 4km., internal railway siding of around 2 kms, an administration building, water supply line, and high side and low side electrification.
