Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL)
Delhi, India
GMR group was awarded the redevelopment contract for the Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi, and the airport was designed for an ultimate capacity of 100 million passengers per annum.

This would be achieved through major development of runway and taxiway systems, aprons, new terminals, access roads, integrated transportation system and other ancillary facilities. Ultimately, the airport masterplan provides for four separate terminals and four parallel runways.

GMR hired Pell Frischmann as consultants for a range of engineering matters across the project, including cost planning, structural design, geotechnical investigation, tender drawings and documentation for various terminal buildings. We were also engaged for our expertise in traffic and transportation components for the new development, starting from Master Planning Level Inputs and Phase Wise Simulation Studies, allowing us to detail components such as road linkages, parking and cargo elements.
